Remove line breaks from pasted text
Text copied out of a PDF or a plain-text email arrives broken: a hard line break at the end of every visual line, so it wraps wrong everywhere you paste it. Rewire Text fixes it in place. Select the pasted text, press the hotkey, run Unwrap Text, and the breaks inside paragraphs disappear while the paragraphs themselves stay separate. It is deterministic: instant, on-device, no AI involved.
The PDF paste problem
You copy two clean paragraphs from a report. You paste them into an email or a doc, and every line ends where the PDF's layout happened to end it. Fixing it by hand means deleting each break and re-adding the space, thirty times. The usual workaround is a "remove line breaks" website, which means pasting your (possibly confidential) text into someone else's page.
With Rewire Text: select the pasted mess, press Cmd+Shift+, (macOS) or Ctrl+Shift+, (Windows), type "unw", Enter.

The rest of the paste-cleanup kit
Wrapped lines rarely travel alone. The same family of transforms handles the other debris that comes with copied text:
Before
Item one Item two Item three
After

Step 1: Export the data Step 2: Run the import Step 3: Verify the counts

All of it works the same way in every app: email clients, docs, wikis, chat, CMS fields, code review comments. One selection, one hotkey, done.

Questions
Why does text copied from a PDF paste with a break on every line?
PDFs store text as laid-out lines, not paragraphs, so copying preserves each visual line ending as a hard break. Plain-text email does the same thing with its wrapping. The breaks come along wherever you paste.
Does Unwrap Text merge my paragraphs together?
No. It removes the breaks inside paragraphs and keeps the blank lines between them, so a three-paragraph passage stays three paragraphs, each flowing normally.
Can Word or my editor do this?
Some apps have a trick for it (find-and-replace on paragraph marks in Word, a join command in some editors), each with its own incantation. The point of Rewire Text is one keystroke that works identically in every app, including the ones with no such feature.
Is this an AI feature?
No. Unwrap Text, Remove Blank Lines, and Trim Whitespace are deterministic transforms: instant, on-device, offline, exact.
What about extra blank lines and stray indentation?
Remove Blank Lines deletes empty lines, Trim Whitespace strips leading and trailing spaces from each line, and Remove Extra Spaces collapses doubled spaces inside lines. Run whichever the paste job needs.
