Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Sunset Mesa Ventures LLC (trading as Sunset Mesa Software, "we," "us," or "our"), based in Colorado, USA. They cover your use of this website (sunsetmesasoftware.com) and our desktop apps, including Rewire Text (the "Software"). By using the site or the Software, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

Your license

When you buy an app, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use that version of the Software. For Rewire Text, one license covers use on up to two devices and works on both macOS and Windows. The license is for your own use, whether personal or for work.

You own your copy of the Software. There is no subscription and no recurring charge for the version you bought. We will not disable a version you have paid for. Major version upgrades may be offered as a paid purchase in the future, but they are always optional.

Free trial

Rewire Text includes a 7-day trial in which every feature works, with no restrictions. After the trial, a subset of the on-device transforms remains free to use, and the AI transforms and the remaining transforms require a purchase. Trial terms for other apps will be described with those apps.

AI features and your own keys

Our apps use a Bring Your Own Key model for AI features. You supply your own API key for the AI provider you choose, and you use those AI services under that provider's own terms. You are responsible for any charges your provider bills you for that usage. Any cost figures the app shows are estimates for your convenience and are not a bill from us.

AI output is generated by third-party models and can be inaccurate or unsuitable. Review results before you rely on them. We are not responsible for the content an AI provider returns.

Payment and refunds

Rewire Text is a one-time purchase of $29 USD. Purchases are processed by Creem, our merchant of record, which handles payment and any applicable tax. Your purchase is also subject to Creem's terms at checkout.

If you are not satisfied, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase. Email us at the address below and we will process it. Because the free trial lets you evaluate the app fully before buying, we ask that you try it first.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Software;
• circumvent, remove, or tamper with licensing or trial limits;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, except to the extent the law expressly allows it;
• use the Software for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of an AI provider's terms.

Intellectual property

The Software, this website, and the Sunset Mesa Software name and logo are owned by us and protected by law. Your license to use an app does not transfer any ownership to you. Any feedback you choose to send us, we may use to improve our products without obligation to you.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Software and the website are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of the Software or the website. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Software will not exceed the amount you paid for it.

Third-party services

Our apps and site work with third-party services, including AI providers, Creem, MailerLite, and Cloudflare. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them. How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Termination

You may stop using the Software at any time. Your license ends if you materially breach these terms, for example by redistributing the Software or circumventing its licensing. The sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability continue to apply after your license ends.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our apps and site change. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. If you keep using the Software after a change, that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Colorado.
